6 Steps to Unleash Your Inner Creativity

Let’s face it. Most of us do not yet have the benefit to have won our freedom. Most of us still do 9 to 5 jobs and sometimes it’s not picture perfect. One of the biggest side effects I experienced working a repeating job every single day is loss of creativity. This however scared me to death. Since being in elementary school creativity was one of the facts I was most complimented for, but one day..I noticed the ideas were not there, and if they came up, they were dull and not colourful in my head.

I took a step back to get better understanding of why this is happening and it rang a bell…very loudly. I realised, we, the ones spending most part of our lives at a job (maybe not the dream one) tend to miss the simple things that make us who we are. We go into a rollercoaster that we cannot escape from after working hours and neglect the happy moments.

I promised to save myself and took a look out of my office and realized change is needed. Looked around at people with similar profile, and we all miss on some things:

• spend time doing what makes us the happiest
• enjoy nature
• exercise
• read
• connect with people that inspire you
• develop a good habit

Keeping your mind busy with your regular routine is usually leading you to lack of inspiration. Over the years it has been proven that sports and pleasant experiences help with your inspiration, motivation and power of will.

Keep yourself balanced.

Try to mix work and family life, balance the time for yourself and create a habit of doing something you love every day. If you master this, you will overcome any difficult situation in your life. No one said it is easy, but working on this will bring more balance onto your every day life.

Keep moving.

Sports in any shape or form boost our serotonin levels. Makes our brains 🧠 healthier and our minds clearer. When animals are afraid, they start moving. Did you ever see a crazy cat making zoomies? They use this habit when they feel fear, anxiety or danger. By moving your body, you release the bad energy and increase dopamine levels in your body.

You are who you stay with.

Surround yourself with quality people, people that you learn something from or people you admire for their perspective in life. We are social creatures and need to interact with one another. The people we stay around the most are the ones we tend to be more alike. Look around, evaluate your group of friends and

Change is difficult, but adding a simple target to reach each week or month will get you closer to inner peace.

Putting all together, you can do what you enjoy, add a good habit to follow in your routine and watch your inspiration flourish.

Creativity is trained and shall not be taken for granted.

PS: how do you train your inspiration?
